Great opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join a public agency on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Ideally you will have experience in advising on procurement processes, public law and/or regulatory matters. If you had experience in employment law that would be a bonus.
You will assist the Head of Legal in maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders and external counsel, and you will handle a complex and varied caseload in the following areas:
- Procurement and commercial law, including advice and review of evaluation and award criteria, transition and standstill
- Contract law and procedure, including advice on redaction, contract terms and redrafting
- Administrative and public law matters, including advice on statutory interpretation of the agency's powers, judicial review and challenges on procurement
- Regulatory law matters
- Freedom of information and data protection, including GDPR
This role can be done remotely, however you will need to be able to get to London and Birmingham for occasional meetings.
