A fantastic role for a recently qualified or Associate level Employment Lawyer to work in the Oxford office of a top 100 UK law firm with a leading employment practice comprising over 20 partners and 100 specialist lawyers.
The role will cover a good mix of complex and varied contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a diverse range of sector clients including media, pharmaceutical, technology industries and professional services.
The successful candidate will run their own caseload as well as working closely with senior associates and partners on more complex matters. There will be substantial opportunities for client contact from the outset.
The team work for both employers and senior executives advising on the full remit of employment matters from restructurings, workplace disputes including high profile litigation, TUPE matters, absence management issues and advising on collective and union issues.
The lawyers also undertake a significant amount of business development, including giving seminars, producing highly regarded publications and driving client relationships. International advice is central to the team's practice and the firm is a member of an established international alliance of employment lawyers.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate comprehensive employment law knowledge, excellent analytical skills and a clear communication style both written and verbal. In addition candidates should feel comfortable undertaking business development and client training, have a commercial approach to client delivery and enjoy working as part of collegiate team.
