CORPORATE GOVERNANCE COUNSEL, OIL AND GAS, ABU DHABI
CLIENT: The maturing and development of the Middle East legal market has meant that in certain progressive organisations, effective compliance, regulatory and corporate governance teams are now given high levels of strategic responsibility. This particular client is forging a path to excellence and now requires a new Corporate Governance Counsel to add to their team.
ROLE: You will take a lead on managing a large number of corporate deals, partnering with other in-house and external lawyers on M&A deals and investments, to ensure that the highest standards of corporate governance are being followed. You will review these deals, taking on a detailed level view over their structure and implementation.
CANDIDATE: There are some essential criteria for the role:
- The most suitable candidates will be excellent corporate transactional lawyers who wish to move into corporate governance work
- A likely PQE will be around 4-8 years. The structure of the team means that more senior lawyers are unlikely to be suitable
- You will need to have trained and qualified at a top tier international law firm and have extremely strong drafting skills
