We have an exciting opportunity for a 3-7 PQE lawyer join the Projects team of a top tier firm in Sydney. In this role, you will be working with leading partners, as well as infrastructure and energy specialists across the Australia and Asia Pacific region in our corporate, project finance, property, and environment and planning groups.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on high profile, complex infrastructure and energy projects within Australian and global markets, with leading sponsors, developers, financiers and contractors. You will develop excellent market knowledge and close client relationships, with the chance to undertake client secondments to broaden your commercial experience. Primarily you will advise on, prepare and negotiate a range of agreement types, including engineer procure construct, operation and maintenance, grid connection, design and construct, PPP project deeds, PPP subcontracts and alliance contracts.
GROUP / TEAM DESCRIPTION
This is a market leading Projects team who work on large-scale and complex construction, infrastructure and energy projects across the Asia Pacific region.
The team has a strong focus on renewables (wind, solar and batteries) and public private partnerships (PPPs). For several years, they have led the Australian renewables market by a considerable margin (for example, in the 2017 leagues tables, they advised on more than double the renewable deals of the next law firm).

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should possess
- At least 3-7 years' post-qualified experience in front end infrastructure and/or energy work gained at big, mid-tier or boutique firms, relevant inhouse roles or from overseas.
- A passion for energy and/or major infrastructure projects; those who take the initiative and 'own' their work.
- Candidates who understand core construction / procurement principles will also be considered.
